Metta Counselling & Mental Health Services is a safe space to come connect and feel empowered in your own story. I am a strong advocate that positive relationships and connections are the key to healing adverse life experiences and building resiliency.

I have a professional interest in how adverse life experiences shape the nervous system, thoughts and body. These maladaptive patterns can affect how we cope with stress, trauma and relationship with the world around us. I use a variety of evidence-based methods to identify these patterns and responses, provide education, and build positive coping skills and thought patterns. These may include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care and informally, Polyvagal Theory.
